Still Remember Dreaming began with my little brother, Jeff.🐞
Losing Jeff has been the most tragic point of my life.
SRD came to me in my sleep.
I was dreaming about Jeff, as I often do.
Grief has a way of staying with you. Maybe because grief is what remains when there was an abundance of love. It is part of the price we pay for loving someone deeply and then having to live without them.
But I also believe God gives us the ability to keep putting one foot in front of the other—to continue showing up, loving people, laughing, creating, trying things, and experiencing this BEAUTIFUL life.
The grief can remain.
And life can still be beautiful.
Both things can be true.🐞
WHEN LIFE CHANGES THE PLAN:
Sometimes it happens slowly. Sometimes it happens in an instant. Either way, there are moments that change us—moments when the life we thought we were living suddenly looks different, and we find ourselves wondering what comes next. You’re figuring out who you are now.
But somewhere along the way, pieces of us begin to come back—the things that make us laugh, the places we still want to see, the things we want to try, the ideas we want to create, and maybe even a few dreams we haven’t dreamed yet. We begin to feel like maybe, just maybe, we can be okay again.
You can miss what was and still find purpose in what's next.
You can see in the dark and still be the light.
Both things can be true.
That's what this little corner of the world is about.
Creating. Exploring. Laughing. Trying. Beginning again.
And maybe doing something you never thought you'd do.
Wherever you are in your story, I hope something here reminds you that there is still beauty to find, joy to create, and so much life left to live.
There's still more to dream. 🐞
